During the ceremony, the Akko Local Government SDP Chairman, Usman Muhammad, introduced the new members to the Acting State Chairman of the SDP, Comrade Adamu Abubakar Modibbo, in the presence of Dr. Bashir Abdullahi Gaddafi, the State Publicity Secretary, and other influential party members. Comrade Modibbo, in his speech, welcomed the new members and pledged a leadership focused on inclusivity and active participation. He also called on all SDP members to intensify grassroots mobilization efforts, ensuring the party’s message reaches every household across Gombe’s 11 local government areas. “This is not just a defection; it is a clear sign that the people of Gombe are tired of failed promises, economic hardship, and leadership without direction,” Comrade Modibbo said. “SDP remains the beacon of hope, unity, and the true progress that the good people of Gombe deserve.”
