WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Nollywood actress Biola Bayo has reacted to the arrest and remand of the Ooni of Ife’s estranged wife, Naomi Silekunola. Kemi Filani reported early this week that Naomi had gotten herself into trouble with her recent charity work. The mother of the crown prince, in collaboration with Agidigbo 88.7 FM, Ibadan, owned by Oriyomi Hazmat, had organized an event to feed the less privileged. Unfortunately, the event led to the death of over 32 children which was caused by a stampede. The former Queen was arrested alongside Hazmat, and on Tuesday, a Chief Magistrate ordered her remand and that of Oriyomi Hazmat at the Agodi Correctional Facility. They were arraigned on a four-count charge of conspiracy, acceleration of death, negligent acts causing harm, and failure to provide adequate security and medical facilities. Taking to her Instagram page to react to the news, Biola Bayo used Naomi’s case as a prayer point as she prayed that her good heart wouldn’t put her in trouble. Biola expressed how heartbroken she is over the news as she stated that she can’t get the pain off her mind and her heart is heavy. She noted how Naomi wanted to put a smile on people’s faces and ended up in a predicament. “Oluwa jo, ma je kin shi’ore se o. I really can’t get this pain off my mind, my heart is so heavy. All she wanted to do was put a smile on people’s faces and now. Regret!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!”. Actor, Adeniyi Johnson noted how the people of Ondo State are known for their kind-heartedness and generosity. He prayed that God see her through and bring her back stronger. Also, showing support for her was the Ooni who expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. He showed solidarity with Naomi. He spoke highly of her character and how she was fond of organising similar events when she was royalty.
May my good heart never put me in trouble in Jesus’ name?
The same people who were hailing “Hosanna! Hosanna! Were the ones shouting keel him, keel him”.
I feel so sad seeing the news about Queen Naomi and Alh Oriyomi Hazmat.
This is not different from what some of you are doing, maybe not publicly.
This, too, shall pass!
I’m really pained.
This can happen to any kind of person, trust me.
