A medical doctor has been allegedly .abducted Anambra barely one week to the governorship election in the state.
The medical practitioner identified as Dr Mbanugo Tochukwu, a consultant neurosurgeon was kidnapped in the evening of Thursday, Oct. 30 in Uruagu Nnewi, along new Nnewi-Oba road.
A top official Nigeria Medical Association in Anambra who disclosed the kidnap of their colleague said relevant government agencies had been put on notice.
“We have been assured that the kidnappers are being tracked.
Please let us remember Dr Mbanugo in our prayers and remain security conscious.“The evil days are not yet over,” the official said.
The Police Command in Anambra is yet to make a statement on the development.
