Meek Mill took a serious ‘L’ in his rap beef with Drake back in the summer of 2015, but the Philly rapper says he tapped out of the beef because his label told him to.
Meek was responding to a tweet from New Jersey battle rap legend Arsonal Da Rebel.
“I WONDER HOW @MeekMill FEEL BOUT DRAKE SUING…….CAUSE N*GGAS SAID THIS N THAT BOUT HIM…… DRAKE WENT ALL OUT ON MEEK,” Arsonal wrote.
“Label told me don’t drop nothing .. I went against that and dropped dc4 mixxtape “Shari Bryant backed me herself” 90k first week to heat up … I couldn’t make any playlist either that had me confused a lil losing confidence but I knew 80% was campaign!” Meek responded. “Influence for the net only.”
In a separate tweet, Meek added that he survived the beef because of his industry relationships and says he’s moved on and is ready to make $100 million from rap.
