Megyn Kelly is facing renewed scrutiny after offering a controversial take on Jeffrey Epstein during a recent episode of her SiriusXM program.
While breaking down newly released congressional documents tied to the late financier, Kelly weighed in on how Epstein’s crimes have been characterized.
Chatting with journalist Batya Ungar-Sargon, Kelly reminded listeners that Epstein undeniably preyed on underage girls but she also shared what she described as insider information from someone deeply familiar with the case.
According to Kelly, that source claimed Epstein didn’t fit the “classic” definition of a p*dophile, insisting he sought out teens in their mid-teens rather than younger children. “It’s disgusting,” Kelly said, noting that she wasn’t minimizing the abuse but relaying what she had been told.

Kelly said she didn’t question that account until former Florida attorney general Pam Bondi publicly argued that investigators found a huge stash of child s*xual ab*se material on Epstein’s devices. That allegation, Kelly admitted, made her reconsider whether Epstein’s crimes were even darker than previously understood, though she expressed doubt about Bondi’s reliability.
This week, Democrats and Republicans on the House Oversight Committee separately released thousands of pages of Epstein-related emails and estate documents.
Some messages referenced former President Donald Trump, stirring Trump’s team to dismiss the disclosures as politically motivated and to reiterate that Trump was never involved in Epstein’s crimes.
