Media personality, Toke Makinwa, has revealed that, contrary to popular belief, she does not hate men.
Naijaonpoint reports that the beauty entrepreneur said she considers herself a hopeless romantic.
Makinwa shared this after announcing that she is expecting her first child.
The 40-year-old explained that she had prayed to become a mother before turning 40 and conceived in December, shortly after celebrating her birthday.
Toke also spoke about the private struggles she faced, including depression, which the public had not been aware of.
She said: “The popular belief out there is that I bash men, I hate men. It’s never been the truth. I’m a hopeless romantic. People did not know that I was depressed. Till now people did not know why I did that thanks giving service and I’ve never talked about it till this moment. At the start I told God I want to turn 40 a mum. I turned 40 in November and He did it December. He didn’t fail. God is never late. He just didn’t do it the way I thought it was gonna happen…”
In other news, Nigerian influencer Idowu Adeyemi, popularly known as Yhemo Lee, has criticised the Ibom Air hostess involved in the viral incident with passenger Comfort Emmanson.
Sharing his thoughts on Instagram, Yhemo Lee said he had encountered the same hostess on two occasions and found her to be constantly frowning, with a stern facial expression that made passengers uncomfortable.
