Big Brother Naija Level Up housemate Beauty Tukura has opened up on her breakup from Neo Akpofure.
In an interview with Toke Makinwa for her podcast, Toke Moments, she said the reason she broke up with Neo is very valid. Beauty said she has moved on and isn’t interested in men right now; she is only focused on herself.
The reality star stated that she is a lover girl and appreciates love, but she noticed that this generation isn’t about commitment and accountability. She noted how men only want to rinse and repeat.
Beauty also noted that their fanbases’ constant pressure contributed to their breakup.
“The reason I broke up with Neo is very valid. I have moved on and am not interested in men right now. I just focus on myself right now.
“People knew we had broken up because I crashed out like a little girl. I wrote some things, but I deleted it, but someone had already cut it. I had no regret in calling Neo out.
“Neo and I relationship had a fan base; these fan base people are very passionate; it will be easier if they see things like black and white. The fan base people added a lot of pressure to the relationship. They are watching us, it comes with pressure. “
“I am a lover girl, and I appreciate love, but this generation is not ready for two things: commitment and accountability. Men just want to vibe. It’s just rinse and repeat.”
Refreshing your memory, Beauty and Neo’s relationship first made headlines in July 2023 when they were spotted leaving a hotel. Beauty’s friend and colleague, Doyin, confirmed the rumors as true, spilling the tea about the couple while in the All-Stars house.
Unfortunately, just like many Big Brother Naija relationships, theirs didn’t last as in October, the lovebirds had unfollowed each other on social media.
Following their breakup, Neo had swiftly switched his taste in women to Tolanibaj. The reality star was spotted with Tbaj at their colleague, Sheggz’s birthday bash in matching outfits.
Neo was also in a relationship with his co-star, Vee Iye, but they broke up around 2022. According to reports, Vee Iye’s issue with his cousin, Venita Akpofure was one of the many reasons why they broke up.
Opening up about their breakup in an interview, Vee revealed that she and Neo ended amicably without any drama. According to her, their relationship was good till things turned sour, and then they decided to pathways, and admitted that she was hurt over their break-up as she never thought that it would badly affect her.
In another interview, Vee revealed how Tolanibaj played a role in their breakup. She noted how many made her feel like she was overreacting to Tbaj, who had an interest in Neo but was pretending. Vee stated that their breakup wasn’t dealt with the right way and a lot was swept under the carpet. However, she felt good to know that she was right about Tbaj’s interest in Neo.
