Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe is celebrating her 48th birthday today, January 1st, with a bold declaration.
On her Instagram page, she expressed gratitude for God’s grace that sustained her, His mercy that covered her, and His favour that carries her through every season.
Aigbe said the past year reminded her that even when she didn’t understand, God was still intentional about her, protecting her, shaping her and keeping her standing.
The mother of two declared that the new year is one of alignment, answered prayers, divine favour, and quiet joy. She stated that as she steps into this new chapter, she does so with hope and faith.

On her 47th birthday last year, she stated that she had unlocked another chapter, expressing gratitude to God for all the glory, honour, and adoration.
Her husband, Kazim Adeoti, penned a reassuring message to her, recalling how 2024 was marked with joyful and sorrowful moments for them. He expressed happiness because they have each other as support and God’s mercies while facing their tribulations.
In a pre-birthday post, Mercy shared photos of herself as she reflected on the past year. She revealed that she won, lost, cried, laughed, loved, and learned a lot this year. However, her heart filled with joy, praise, and gratitude.
Last year, Aigbe had recounted one of the challenging moments she faced while filming her latest Cinema movie, Thinline. In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, she revealed that she woke up one morning on set and her eyes were swollen, and she couldn’t film. She said the pain was excruciating and she had to be hospitalized.
Mercy stated that it had been an experience for her on this journey as there have been a lot of challenges while filming the movie, but she gives God the glory. Mercy stressed that the movie took a lot of pain, blood, and sweat.
