Michelle, the daughter of Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe, has expressed pride in her mother following her latest win.

Kemi Filani reported that Aigbe had beaten several of her colleagues, such as Meg Otanwa, Tina MBA, Ireti Doyle, Ini Dima Okojie, Omoni Oboli, and Darasimi Nadi, to win Best Supporting Actress for her role in Farmer’s Bride.

Taking to her Instagram page, Michelle shared photos of herself and her mother at the event, expressing her pride in her mother. Noting that the win was well-deserved, she expressed happiness that her mother’s hard work, dedication, and grace were not unnoticed.

The proud daughter further noted how her mother had sown a seed of excellence and was reaping the reward.

“OMG!! I’m so proud of my mom!! Congratulations, mummy, on this well-deserved award! Your hard work, dedication, and grace never go unnoticed. You’ve sown in excellence and now you’re reaping the reward. Love you sooo much!”.

Also celebrating Mercy Aigbe, Toyin Abraham congratulated her on her win as she stated that the movie star deserved it. Abraham noted how Mercy killed her role in the movie.

Some weeks back, Michelle had expressed how happy she was to see all the love and positive reviews for Ada Omo Daddy movie. She expressed how incredibly proud she was of her mum, as she noted how Mercy poured her heart into it with resilience despite the challenges.

A day before the AMVCA, Aigbe reflected on her first AMVCA win and noted that she has received several nominations since then. The wife of Kazim Adeoti expressed gratitude that despite over twenty years in the industry, she is still relevant and still gets nominations.

Mercy made her first delve into Cinema production with Ada Omo Daddy which grossed one N187 million and was the 3rd highest grossing movie in 2023. This was a huge milestone, especially with competition from Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham.

Speaking on it, Michelle had expressed how happy she was to see all the love and positive reviews for Ada Omo Daddy movie. She expressed how incredibly proud she was of her mum, as she noted how Mercy poured her heart into it with resilience despite the challenges.

Following the success of her first Cinema movie, the movie producer had worked on her second Cinema movie, Thin Line which was also a success at the Cinema as it grossed over N100 million at the box office.
