An aide to the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, Ossai Ovie Success, has called out Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson Okojie, over claims that her colleague, Regina Daniels, got married to Nigerian lawmaker, Ned Nwoko, at the age of 17.

Naijaonpoint recalls that in a post shared on her Instagram page, Mercy Johnson pointed out that Regina was only 17, a teenager, when she got hitched to Ned.

Reacting to Mercy’s remark, Ossai, in a post shared on Facebook, stated that Regina Daniels was 19 years old at the time she married Ned, contrary to claims that she was 17.

While expressing displeasure over the age narratives online, Ossai urged Mercy Johnson to stop spreading lies.

The Governor’s aide added that no marriage is perfect, and the public should stop destroying the love that still exists between Ned and Regina with the false narrative.

He wrote, “Mercy Johnson should stop spreading lies. Regina was not 17 when Ned got married to her . Ned married Regina Daniels 2019!!!

“Regina Daniels date of birth is 10/10/2000 making her 19 years at the time.

“I am disappointed with this age narrative thing . Honestly I don’t like what is going on.

“No marriage is perfect , we all have our issues in our different marriages.

“Let’s stop pushing narrative that will destroy the love that is still between Reginal and Ned”
