Nollywood actress, Angela Okorie, has spoken in support of music artiste, Naira Marley, amid accusations linking him to the death of late singer Mohbad.
Naijaonpoint reports that in an Instagram post on Wednesday, Okorie described Naira Marley as a kind and quiet person who once showed her generosity and support.
She recalled how he gifted her a large sum of money during one of her past birthdays and encouraged her in a way no one else in the entertainment industry had done.
Okorie explained that the support she received from Naira Marley stood out in an industry she described as filled with envy and negativity.
According to her, the artiste has never shown traits of violence or confrontation and remains someone she considers to be a peaceful and caring person.
She said: “One of my birthdays, about the last three or four years ago, Naira Marley surprised me. He gave me lots of money. I was shocked. The encouragement he gave to me, nobody has ever given it to me in this demonic industry where you and I know people just envy you for nothing, for being yourself, for being bold, for talking and working so hard. People are just going to envy you”.
“Naira Marley was too nice to me. He doesn’t even talk. He is not a fighter. He doesn’t even talk. The Naira Marley that I know is a sweet soul”.
Naira Marley has continued to face public backlash over his alleged role in Mohbad’s untimely death.
