Mohbad’s death: Court exonerates Naira Marley, Sam Larry, PrimeBoy

The Magistrate Court in Sabo, Yaba, Lagos State, has cleared popular musician Naira Marley on Tuesday in connection with the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka as Mohbad.

Alongside Naira Marley, the court also cleared music promoter Sam Larry (Samson Balogun), Primeboy (Owodunni Ibrahim), and Mohbad’s former manager, Opere Babatunde.

Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje, following legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), stated that the trio have no case to answer.

However, the DPP announced plans to prosecute the auxiliary nurse who treated Mohbad, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, and one of Mohbad’s friends, Ayobami Sadiq, for reckless and negligent acts under Section 251(e) of the Criminal Law, Ch C.17, Vol.3, Laws of Lagos State, 2015.

Both individuals will face trial at the Magistrate Court.
