Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has sparked fresh political debate after boldly claiming that Geoffrey Mosiria could have been a decisive asset for Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja in the 2027 elections. Speaking shortly after news broke that Mosiria had been moved from the Nairobi Environment Ministry to the Ministry of Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, Salasya suggested that Sakaja may have lost a key political pillar.
According to Salasya, Mosiria’s influence, grassroots networks, and ability to mobilize support across the county made him one of Sakaja’s strongest strategic allies ahead of the next gubernatorial race.
“Mosira could have easily helped Sakaja to win the 2027 Nairobi elections,” Salasya remarked.
