WATCH THE VIDEO HERE The Mozambican government is set to repatriate its citizens who fled the country due to political violence and sought refuge in Malawi. According to Hilda Katema, an official from Malawi’s Department of Refugees, discussions between the two governments confirmed that peace and stability have returned to Mozambique. Katema told Zodiak Online that Mozambique will send vehicles and boats to transport its citizens willing to return home. A delegation led by Mozambican Minister of Security, Paulo Chachine, is currently at Nyamithuthu refugee camp in Nsanje, briefing refugees about the repatriation process. The refugee department has registered 7,904 Mozambicans from 3,898 households. However, Katema assured that those who were not registered but wish to return will also benefit from the program.
