“My backbone and supporter” – Mide Martins affirms love for husband, Afeez Owo as he marks birthday with double celebration

Nollywood actress Mide Martins is celebrating her husband, Afeez Owo, who turns 20 today, April 13th, 2025.

Taking to her Instagram page to share photos of her husband in a traditional outfit, she described him as her backbone and supporter and affirmed her love for him.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY IGI LEYIN OGBA MI

I LOVE YOU AMOO OKO MI OLOWO ORI MI”.

The celebrant, on his part, expressed gratitude to his Maker for another year. Afeez revealed that it is a double celebration for him as he is celebrating his birthday with the premiere of his movie, Ajani, in Canada on YouTube.

Just a day ago, Mide Martins also celebrated her birthday, and Afeez Owo churned out beautiful words for her. He described Mide as the love of his life, bone of his bones, flesh of his flesh, support system, one and only first lady, and Queen of his heart. He expressed how lucky he was to have her as a partner in life and appreciated her for always being by his side.

Over the years, Afeez and Mide have won the hearts of many with their constant display of affection for on another on social media and at event.

A month back, Afeez had shared the sweet moment Mide Martins had surprised him at his workplace. Afeez was captured running into the arms of his wife, who jumped on him, and the two exchanged kisses as others watched in awe. Sharing the video online, Afeez appreciated her for the visit.

In December, while receiving the Best Actress of the Year award from OAFP, Mide knelt as she appreciated Afeez Owo for his constant support. She appreciated, as she noted how without him, there is no her. She thanked him for being there for her since she lost her mother.

Late last year Mide had broken down in tears as she accompanied Afeez to the airport to board a flight to Canada. The video captured the emotional but sweet moment Mide saw her husband off at the airport, where they kissed and found it difficult to separate from each other.
