My divorce would be quiet – Charly Boy
Maverick singer Charles Oputa, better known as Charly Boy, has urged Nigerian celebrities to keep their private lives out of the public eye. He shared this advice in response to the marital crisis between power couple 2Baba and Annie Idibia during a recent interview with TVC.
Charly Boy expressed his sympathy for the couple, stating, “I feel sorry for 2Baba and Annie Idibia. It’s unfortunate. My advice would be: can we please keep our personal matters private, away from the public? Social media has changed a lot, but it’s also up to the people involved.
“I’m not speaking from a place of superiority; I have had disagreements with my partner, but we resolve them privately. It’s wrong to bring those issues into the public eye. If I were to stop living with my wife today, nobody would know about it. I wouldn’t make a fuss over it,” he said.
