Fashion designer Veekee James has shared her view on the kind of friendships that are acceptable in her marriage.

The Lagos-based designer said her husband, Femi Atere, cannot keep a female best friend because she feels she should be the closest woman to him.
She explained that this rule works for their home and helps them maintain peace.
She said: “Femi Atere can never have a female best friend, even if he does I’ll occupy it with all of herself and her body alone.”
She also spoke about past online drama, saying that she once faced harsh comments that she took Femi from someone.
According to her, the online buzz affected her mental health at the time, but she was able to move on.
Veekee and Femi got engaged in late 2023 and were married on February 10, 2024.
The couple marked their first wedding anniversary earlier this year.
