He emphasized that he would avoid making his marriage public to prevent strangers from sharing their opinions about it online.
Nasboi made this statement in response to the heavy reactions surrounding 2Baba’s recent announcement that he and his wife, Annie, are heading for divorce.
On his X account, he wrote: “I’ll keep my marriage private when I’m ready. Nothing online, please! I don’t want some random person having opinions about my life.”
In another post, he urged Nigerians to stop using celebrity marriages as a standard for defining marriage.
He stated, “One celebrity divorce happens, and suddenly you start questioning whether marriage is for you. But you forget about your parents, who have been married for over 30 years. Stop using celebrity marriages to define what marriage should be. If you don’t want to marry, that’s your choice.”
