Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has expressed pride in social media activist, Very Dark Man VDM.

Taking to her Instagram story, the Edo-born star had shared a video of her linking up with the controversial activist at Burna Boy’s birthday party.

In the clip, the actress and the activist were captured hugging and I warn embrace as Yvonne gushed over him, describing him as her younger brother from Agenebode. She expressed how proud she is of him.

Despite his controversial lifestyle, some celebrities have fallen in love with VDM and publicly supported him.

During his detention at EFCC custody, the likes of Rita Edochie, Sarah Martins, Davido, Cubana Chief Priest and others had clamoured for his release.

Taking the lead,  veteran actress, Rita Edochie had called for his freedom, as she stated that the activist is the only young man who is societally outstanding. She stated that if VDM is silenced, no one is ready to take his place in lending a voice to society.

Davido said that outside of the noise, it’s good to see the good that Very Dark Man did impacting lives and people actually appreciating it. The Grammy nominee added that seeing people show support for VDM was encouraging as he called for the activist’s freedom.

Socialite, Cubana Chief Priest also called for his release, saying people were faking happiness and that there had been no joy since his disappearance. Cubana expressed hope that VDM gets released or that we receive good press from his abductors.

Actress, Angela Okorie while calling for the activist’s freedom noted that no one is holy.

Destiny Etiko asserted that VDM has done a lot for Nigerians. She praised him for standing up for the truth, being brave, and speaking up for those in need. She noted how he massively gives back to society as she called for his release.
