“Na inheritance” – Reactions as Senator Ben Murray Bruce predicts Davido could become Osun Governor in the future

Nigerian business magnate and politician Senator Ben Murray Bruce has stirred the internet with his prediction for music star, Davido.

In a recent episode of his Common Sense series, he predicted that Davido could someday become the Governor of Osun State. He noted how the singer’s political potential isn’t only tied to his fame and his family’s significant political background.

The Silverbird TV boss added that Davido had the political DNA necessary for a successful political career.

“David Adeleke, the global phenomenon better known as Davido, is undeniably an international artist and a true Nigerian superstar. He stands as one of Nigeria’s most valuable cultural exports. However, beneath the surface of his music icon lies a side many may not be aware of.

He is, by his admission, a political animal with deeply held views and a clear_cut political ideology.

If you run, I predict you will win”.

Murray Bruce further said that his prediction stemmed from a personal discussion with Davido, during which they discussed the singer’s potential political future.

“This revelation, which came to light through a personal discussion about his aspirations and interests, perhaps, shouldn’t be entirely surprising.

When you consider the DNA of the Adeleke family. His uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke, is the Governor of Osun State. Furthermore, his uncle, Isiaka Adeleke, also served as a former Governor of Osun State during Ibrahim Babangida’s military administration.

Considering all these, the thought that Davido could one day aspire to become Governor of Osun State seems more like a potential trajectory, especially if his political inclinations are nurtured and strategically channelled”.

The politician wrapped it up by speaking on the growing trend of entertainers venturing into politics in Nigeria.

“Here in Nigeria, there is a growing sentiment that more entertainers should consider seeking political positions. Their ability to connect with the different demographics could inject fresh perspectives and dynamism into the political landscape”.

During the Governorship campaign in Osun State, Davido actively campaigned for his uncle, and when he won, Davido celebrated openly online.

Last year, he celebrated his uncle on his latest finished project in Osun State. The project in question was a building project in Osun.

Also, last year, Davido revealed why he was interested in the Edo State gubernatorial election, as he questioned the police directive for Edo citizens. He declared INEC the most dangerous institution in Nigeria as he admonished Edo indigenes not to bow to them. He noted how he had to fight and rant for the Osun Election to be a success in 2022 and was waiting for Osun 2026.
