The police have rescued Emmanuel Omanji, the traditional ruler of the Dari community in the Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, who was abducted on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
The police spokesperson in the state, Ramhan Nansel, said the abducted traditional ruler was rescued on June 2, 2025.
In a statement, the police said the traditional ruler was rescued unhurt around 9 pm on Monday, June 2, 2025.
Omanji was whisked away on Wednesday night from his residence by gunmen who shot sporadically in the community.
