WATCH THE VIDEO HERE The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange recorded a 0.84 per cent growth in the ninth trading week of 2025. It was the fifth straight week it was closing higher. The alternative bourse ended the week with four price gainers and five price losers led by Geo-Fluids Plc, which slipped by 19.6 per cent to settle at N3.20 per unit versus the preceding week’s N3.98 per unit. Food Concepts Plc lost 7.3 per cent to end at N1.52 per share compared with N1.64 per share, UBN Property Plc declined by 5.4 per cent to N1.75 per unit from N1.85 per unit, FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc went down by 3.9 per cent to N38.02 per share from N39.60 per share, and Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc depreciated by 1.4 per cent to close at N22.68 per unit, in contrast to the preceding week’s N23.00 per unit. On the flip side, Okitipupa Plc gained 26.3 per cent to end at N229.52 per share against the former value of N181.18 per share, NASD Plc appreciated 20.9 per cent to N18.76 per unit from N15.51 per unit, Afriland Properties Plc added 6.3 per cent to its value to close at N22.59 per share versus N21.26 per share, and Golden Capital Plc soared by 5 per cent to N10.50 per unit from N10.00 per unit. When the market closed for the week, the market capitalisation went up by N15.02 billion to N1.866 trillion from N1.851 trillion and the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) increased by 42.66 points to 3,268.01 points from 3,225.35 points. In the week, the volume of transactions grew by 155.9 per cent to 7.99 million units from 3.12 million units, and the value of trades rose by 320.7 per cent to N284.7 million from N67.7 million. The most active stock for the week by value was Okitipupa Plc with N171.9 million, CSCS Plc recorded N67.2 million, FrieslandCampina Wamco Plc posted N26.6 million, Afriland Properties Plc transacted N11.7 million, and Food Concepts Plc reported N2.5 million. By volume, CSCS Plc topped the chart with 2.9 million units, Food Concepts Plc transacted 1.7 million units, and Okitipupa Plc recorded 0.930 million units.
