NASD Index Jumps 1.34% to 3,227 Points in Week 7

In the five-day trading week, the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) surged by 42.66 points to 3,227.53 points from the 3,184.87 points it ended in Week 6.

In the same vein, the market capitalisation of the trading platform went up by N24.17 billion to close at N1.828 trillion compared with the N1.804 trillion it closed in the preceding week.

The volume of trades in the week decreased last week by 27.7 per cent to 22.6 million units from 31.3 million units, but the value of transactions increased by 283.6 per cent to N204.1 million from N53.2 million.

Impresit Bakolori Plc Plc ended the week as the most traded equity by volume with 14.4 million units, Afriland Properties Plc traded 6.6 million units, FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc transacted 1.1 million units, Air Liquide Plc exchanged 0.36 million units, and Geo Fluids Plc posted 0.084 million units.

The most active stock by value for the week was Afriland Properties Plc with N135.8 million, FrieslandCampina Wamco Plc recorded N42.9 million, Impresit Bakolori Plc posted N16.6 million, Air Liquide Plc transacted N2.9 million, and Okitipupa Plc achieved N2.3 million.

Okitipupa Plc gained 33.1 per cent to end at N124.18 per unit versus N93.90 per unit, Afriland Properties Plc expanded by 23.7 per cent to N21.03 per share from N17.00 per share, Impresit Bakolori Plc improved by 10 per cent to N1.16 per unit from N1.05 per unit, Mixta Real Estate Plc appreciated by 9.9 per cent to N3.76 per share from N3.42 per share, and Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc rose by 2.1 per cent to N24.50 per unit from N24.00 per unit.

On the flip side, UBN Property Plc slid by 7.7 per cent to N2.05 per share from N2.22 per share, Geo-Fluids Plc dipped by 6.6 per cent to N4.24 per unit from N4.54 per unit, Air Liquide Plc depreciated 5.3 per cent to N7.50 per share from N7.92 per share, and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc slumped by 0.4 per cent to N39.50 per unit from N40.01 per unit.
