The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange extended its presence in the positive territory in Week 28 of 2025 with a 1.02 per cent rise.
The sterling week-on-week performance of the alternative stock exchange increased the platform’s market capitalisation by N20.23 billion to N2.01 trillion from N1.990 trillion in Week 27.
In the same vein, the NASD Unlisted Security Index chalked up 34.56 points to settle at 3,433.20 points, in contrast to the 3,398.64 points recorded in the previous week.
Business Post reports that the OTC exchange posted 10 price gainers and one price loser led by Afriland Properties Plc after it shed 17.8 per cent to close at N17.50 per unit versus N21.30 per unit.
On the flip side, Air Liquide Plc gained 9.9 per cent to finish at N10.92 per share compared with the preceding week’s N9.94 per share, Food Concepts Plc appreciated by 9.8 per cent to N2.91 unit from N2.65 per unit, Lagos Building Investment Company (LBIC) Plc rose by 9.7 per cent to N3.38 per share from N3.08 per share, Geo-Fluids Plc grew by 7.8 per cent to N4.59 per unit from N4.26 per unit, and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc increased by 5.7 per cent to N64.36 per share from N60.89 per share.
Further, Capital Bancorp Plc expanded by 5.4 per cent to N2.15 per unit from N2.04 per unit, Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc jumped by 5.3 per cent to N33.00 per share from N31.24 per share, Acorn Petroleum Plc improved by 3.9 per cent to N1.33 per unit from N1.28 per unit, UBN Property Plc soared by 3.5 per cent to N2.10 per share from N2.03 per share, and Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) Plc advanced by 2.9 per cent to 35 Kobo per unit from 34 Kobo per unit.
Last week, the value of trades went up by 67.1 per cent to N145.6 million from N87.1 million, and the volume of transactions increased by 659.6 to 21.3 million units from 2.8 million units.
The most traded stock by value in the five-day trading week was CSCS Plc with N56.8 million, Food Concepts Plc recorded N27.5 million, Capital Bancorp Plc recorded N21.2 million, Geo-Fluids Plc posted N11.9 million, and FrieslandCampina Wamco Plc transacted N10.7 million.
Capital Bancorp Plc ended as the most traded stock by volume in the week with 9.9 million units, FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc sold 3.7 million units, Geo-Fluids Plc traded 2.5 million units, UBN Property Plc exchanged 2.0 million units, and CSCS Plc transacted 1.8 million units.
