NASD OTC Exchange Gains 0.07% in Week 24

The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange kept up its weekly positive momentum after closed higher by 0.07 per cent in the 24th  trading week of 2025.

The week-on-week growth happened despite operating in three trading sessions because of the two public holidays observed last Monday and Thursday.

In the week, the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) grew by 2.41 per cent to settle at 3,341.22 points compared with the preceding week’s 3,338.81 points and the market capitalisation gained N1.42 billion to close at N1.956 trillion versus the N1.955 trillion recorded in Week 23.

Data showed that the alternative bourse ended with three price gainers and two price losers led by FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc, which gave up 10.6 per cent to end at N70.84 per share against the former value of N79.45 per share, and Nipco Plc, which lost 3.2 per cent to finish at N212.77 per unit versus N219.77 per unit.

Conversely, Geo-Fluids Plc added 32.8 per cent to trade at N3.85 per share compared with the previous week’s N2.90 per share, Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc appreciated by 11.1 per cent to N29.83 per unit from N26.84 per unit, and AG Mortgage Bank Plc jumped by 10.1 per cent to 76 Kobo per share from 59 Kobo per share.

Last week, the value of trades went down by 63.9 per cent to N31.9 million from N88.2 million, and the volume of transaction increased by 43.8 per cent to 3.80 million units from 2.64 million units.

The most traded stock by value in the week was FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc with N17.1 million, CSCS Plc traded N11.2 million, IPWA Plc recorded N1.5 million, Okitipupa Plc posted N0.88 million, and 11 Plc reported N0.54 million.

The most traded stock by volume was IPWA Plc with 3.0 million units, CSCS Plc transacted 0.39 million units, FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc recorded 0.23 million, Geo-Fluids Plc traded 0.13 million units, and Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) Plc achieved 0.01 million units.
