NASD OTC Securities Exchange Rallies by 0.46%

FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc further lifted the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange by 0.46 per cent on Friday, October 30 after its share price went up by N5.10 to N56.10 per unit from the preceding day’s N51.00 per unit.

This moved the market capitalisation of the bourse higher by N9.86 billion to N2.169 trillion from the previous session’s N2.149 trillion, and the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) increased by 16.43 points to 3,625.45 points from the 3,609.02 points it ended a day earlier.

During the trading session, the price of Geo-Fluids Plc was down by 3 Kobo, closing at N4.35 per share, in contrast to Thursday’s closing value of N4.38 per unit.

Data showed that the volume of securities traded at the final session of the week declined by 99.8 per cent to 20,350 units from the previous 12.3 million units, the value of transactions slumped by 97.9 per cent to N551,769.60 from N27.2 million, and the number of deals slid by 68.2 per cent to seven deals from the 22 deals quoted in the Thursday’s session.

Infrastructure Credit Guarantee Company (InfraCredit) Plc was the most traded stock by value on a year-to-date basis with 5.8 billion units valued at N16.4 billion, followed by Okitipupa Plc with 170.3 million units transacted for N8.0 billion, and Air Liquide Plc with 507.4 million units worth N4.2 billion.

InfraCredit Plc was also the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with 5.8 billion units worth N16.4 billion, trailed by Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) Plc with 1.2 billion units worth N419.7 million, and Impresit Bakolori Plc with 536.9 million units sold for N524.8 million.
