NASD Unlisted Security Index Drops 0.16% to 3,599.85 Points

The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange extended its depreciation by 0.16 per cent on Tuesday, November 25, with the Unlisted Security Index (NSI) down by 5.84 points to 3,599.85 points from 3,605.69 points.

In the same vein, the market capitalisation of the bourse shrank by N3.50 billion to N2.153 billion from the N2.157 trillion recorded a day earlier.

The loss was influenced by two securities, with NASD Plc declining by N2.00 to close at N53.00 per unit versus the previous day’s N55.00 per unit and Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) dropping 51 Kobo to trade at N36.99 per share compared with Monday’s N37.50 per share.

However, the share price of IPWA Plc went up by 6 Kobo to 61 Kobo per unit from 55 Kobo per unit.

As for the activity chart, the volume of securities traded at the session jumped by 78.9 per cent to 640,061 units from the previous day’s 197,376 units, but the value of securities went down by 48.4 per cent to N6.1 million from N11.8 million, and the number of deals decreased by 51.9 per cent to 13 deals from 27 deals.

Infrastructure Credit Guarantee Company (InfraCredit) Plc remained the most traded stock by value with a year-to-date sale of 5.8 billion units valued at N16.4 billion, followed by Okitipupa Plc with 170.4 million units transacted for N8.0 billion, and Air Liquide Plc with 507.5 million units worth N4.2 billion.

InfraCredit Plc also ended as the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with 5.8 billion units worth N16.4 billion, trailed by Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) Plc with 1.2 billion units traded for N420.1 million, and Impresit Bakolori Plc with 536.9 million units sold for N524.9 million.
