WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Super Eagles forward Nathan Tella has been nominated for Bayer Leverkusen’s Goal of the Month for January, Soccernet.ng reports. After struggling to be a regular at Bayer Leverkusen last season, Tella has started to get more minutes this season. The Super Eagles star has featured in 16 Bundesliga games with one goal and one assist. Tella’s only Bundesliga goal came against Borussia Dortmund on October 10. The 25-year-old forward capitalized on a defensive mix-uo and struck a wicked shot past Gregor Kobel. He scored that goal in the first minute, and that set Die Werkself up for a 3-2 win. In a new development, Bayer Leverkusen have now nominated Tella’s goal as one of the best for January. Of the five goals in contention, Tella’s is obviously top two. He caught the bal on the half volley and struck it from the edge of the box. While the striker was beautiful, Grimaldo has a great shot of winning it, as his goal was from a freekick. The other three goals were decent, but there was really nothing spectacular. However, the votes will be decided by fans. As such, it will be more of a popularity contest.
