NBA YoungBoy has been sentenced to 23 months in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon following his 2020 arrest.

The rapper was shooting a music video in Baton Rouge and was arrested by several other crew members. Police seized more than a dozen firearms from the scene.

The rapper was reportedly in possession of a Glock 21 .45-caliber pistol and a Masterpiece Arms MPA30T 9mm handgun.

“I admit I knowingly possessed the firearm. I also admit that, prior to September 28, 2020, and continuing through at least April 16, 2024, I knew I had been convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year (Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, Felony, 19th Judicial District Court for the Parish of East Baton Rouge, Louisiana, case number DC-01-17-0361),” he said.
