Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has insisted that Nigerian lawmaker, Ned Nwoko, married her colleague, Regina Daniels, when she was 17.
Naijaonpoint reports that Doris made this known amid controversy regarding Regina’s age.
In a post shared on Instagram, Doris stated that she has seen Regina Daniels‘ birth certificate, adding that only a mother can accurately determine her daughter’s age.
She said, “Only a mother will tell you when she gave birth to her child, I’ve seen Regina’s birth certificate and international passport.
“Gina was born on 10 Oct 2001, She got married sometime in May 2019. She was 17 + when she married.”
Meanwhile, Regina Daniels has revealed the reason she never filed for divorce from her estranged partner, Ned Nwoko.
In an Instagram post, Regina clarified that there was no legal marriage between them.
The mother of two stated that no court documents were ever signed.
According to her, this made it impossible to officially seek a divorce, despite her desire to end their relationship long ago.
She expressed that she had given her prime years, energy, and career opportunities while with him, but now wants complete freedom from any form of control.
Regina also stated that love and marriage cannot be forced, insisting that her decision to move on should be respected.
