Social media users aren’t done with superstar singer, Wizkid’s beef with music executive, Don Jazzy.
Kemi Filani reported last week that Wizkid had gone on a mini-rant shading Mavins record label signee ladipoe for coming at him. He also threw a jab at Don Jazzy, as he revealed that he was never chatting to anyone signed to an influencer, hinting at the fact that record label manager Don Jazzy was an influencer. This led the music executive to unfollow him on social media.
It’s been a week since the drama but netizens are still keeping it up as an old tweet of Wizkid expressing his desire to have Don Jazzy as a father has surfaced online.
In the tweet, Wizkid expressed his desire to have Don Jazzy as his father as he stated that life would have been better for him.
“Imagine say Don Jazzy MoHits na my papa? I just dey imagine o. Lolz Kai life for better o. Lmao”.
During the heat of the drama, fans of Wizkid went wild with joy after a old tweet of Don Jazzy declaring that he is an influencer resurfaced online. In the resurfaced tweet, the Mavins founder had sent a message to Air Hostesses as he urged them to become social media Influencers. The music executive revealed that he had also turn full time influencer and would be reaching out to other influencers.
To add to it, Wizkid’s fans dug up photos of Don Jazzy receiving Pulse Nigeria 2023 Music Influencer of the Year award and Media Influencer of the Year award.
However, many celebrities who weighed it, blasted Wizkid for disrespecting Don. Big Brother Naija, Ka3na reminded him that what goes around comes around. She stated that he has just showed the ones coming behind him how to treat him sooner.
Similarly, Reality TV star Doyin David described Don Jazzy as the Jay-Z of the Nigerian music industry. She made it known that anybody who tries to disrespect or discredit him just shows that their head is not correct.
Popular skit maker and content creator, Mr Macaroni in a tweet on X noted that Wizkid was wrong to have mocked Don Jazzy, whom he described as the biggest entertainment influencer in Africa. He noted how Don Jazzy is a legend who has shown selfless support to many entertainers in the country regardless of their status.
Blogger, Tunde Ednut had questioned what Don Jazzy did to Wizkid and if the Grammy singer no longer has respect for the music executive. He stated that Don should be respected, and kept on high pedestal as he is no ones mate.
Cubana Chief Priest, declared that Don Jazzy would forever remain respected as he is a Godfather and legend.
