A new Avengers: Doomsday teaser image has been shared. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has not yet released a new entry in the Avengers movie franchise during the Multiverse Saga. While the MCU’s Infinity Saga counted on four Avengers films, the franchise’s new chapter has not seen Earth’s Mightiest Heroes unite, something that will finally change with two upcoming Marvel movies.
As the first of the two new Avengers films, 2026’s Avengers: Doomsday is the talk of the town. Different from other MCU releases, the secrecy was kept high for the film, with almost no set photos or videos making their way online. With Avengers: Doomsday updates scarce, fans can’t wait for the first look at the film, which will come this week.
On Instagram, the Russo Brothers shared a new cryptic post to tease Avengers: Doomsday ahead of its first trailer’s arrival in theaters with Avatar: Fire and Ash.
The image is hard to decipher, with a white shape in front of a black background. Fans have started to guess what might be the Avengers: Doomsday teaser’s meaning, ranging from a branch of Loki’s Yggdrasil tree to new notes from Reed Richards to more. Perhaps the Avengers movie trailer will clear that up.
The timing of the Russo Brothers’ new Avengers: Doomsday tease is certainly interesting. Collider reported on November 6 that the first Avengers: Doomsday trailer would be released in theaters with Avatar: Fire and Ash, which premieres on December 19. Recently, The Hollywood Reporter added to that, revealing that four Avengers movie trailers will go to the big screen with the Avatar threequel.
Each Avengers: Doomsday teaser trailer will play in theaters for a week before switching to the next, with that going on for a month. At this time, Marvel Studios has yet to officially comment on the matter. As such, the directors’ new Avengers: Doomsday teaser image has been shared on the same week that fans will watch the first trailer for the MCU movie.
This Is What Happens In The Avengers: Doomsday Trailers – MCU Theory
The MCU is releasing four Avengers: Doomsday trailers in theaters, and what will be shown in each one of them might have already been revealed.
This is not the first time that the Russos have teased Avengers: Doomsday with cryptic social media posts. On September 9, the Russos teased the Avengers movie with a blackboard that looked similar to Reed Richards’ from The Fantastic Four: First Steps. It was impossible to decipher what the notes meant, but the new Doomsday teaser might be a zoomed-in image of the board.
After that, the Avengers franchise directors shared a different kind of tease. On December 30, the Russos took to Instagram to share an Avengers: Doomsday set photo. Aside from a man sitting in a chair in the shadows, which obscured his face, there was nothing clear to the eye. The Russos captioned the image, “Look hard…” The first Avengers: Doomsday trailer should end the mystery.
Avengers: Doomsday will be released in theaters on December 18, 2026.
