Tragedy hit the Kenyan music scene on October 5, 2025, as popular Gengetone artist Shalkido Ga Cucu passed away following a serious motorbike accident along Thika Road.

Peter Miracle Baby, a close friend and fellow member of the Sailor’s Gang music group, shared the heartbreaking news. He revealed that he received a call from Shalkido’s father around 6:30 PM confirming the artist had passed away.
“I don’t even know how to feel,” Miracle Baby said in an emotional interview.
“His dad called me to tell me he was gone. We used to talk occasionally, but this is so sudden.”
