During his visit, Gusau offered prayers for Anyansi-Agwu’s health and the well-being of his family. The president expressed gratitude to God that there were no fatalities during the armed robbery attack. “The NFF President has been to the house of Chief Anyansi-Agwu. I will also be going to his house shortly to empathise with him and his family. This is an unwholesome incident and the Executive Committee, Management and Staff of NFF feel the stress of the Anyansi-Agwu family at this period,” said NFF General Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi. Reports indicate that armed individuals breached the security of Chief Anyansi-Agwu’s home in Gwarinpa Estate during the early hours of Tuesday, January 8, 2025. The attackers who wounded Anyansi-Agwu stole valuable items, including a vehicle, mobile phones, cash, and more, totaling several millions of naira. According to NFFTV.com, Anyansi-Agwu is currently receiving medical care at a confidential location in the Federal Capital.
