WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter has been rocked by a major lawsuit accusing him of s*xually assaulting a woman and giving her several STDs that led to cervical cancer. The alleged victim, Laura Penly, alleges that the incident occurred somewhere around 2004 and that she was 19 years old at the time. Penly says they had a consensual, on-and-off intimate relationship from December 2004 to February 2005, when she visited him in L.A., but that things took a dark turn at Carter’s Hollywood apartment when, during one interaction, she asked him to use protection, but she says that he refused, assuring her he was “clean.” Penly says that Carter was her first s*xual encounter. The suit claims Carter “forcefully” assaulted her after she told him “no” multiple times. She says he later told her to keep quiet, telling her that no one would believe her. Penly alleges a second assault occurred months later after he apologized and invited her back. She says the singer infected her with multiple STDs, including HPV, which later developed into Stage 2 cervical cancer. By July 2005, she says she tested positive for chlamydia and gonorrhea. The emotional and physical toll was devastating, Penly says, and claims Carter’s fans have harassed her since she came forward. She’s suing for over $15,000 and is demanding a jury trial, citing Carter’s “willful disregard” for her health and safety.
