However, Nigeria’s joy did not last as the Warriors found a late equalizer after after second half substitute Tawanda Chirewa surged through the Nigerian defence before poking the ball past Nwabali. This latest draw keeps Nigeria on seven points, leaving them in fourth place behind South Africa (13), Rwanda (8) and Benin (8). The Super Eagles now sit six points behind leaders South Africa with only four matches remaining.
