The Presidency has said that Nigeria is blessed with a president who is committed to ending the activities of terrorists and criminals across the nation.
Sunday Dare, the special adviser to the President on media and public communication said Bola Tinubu embodies the story of Nigeria’s peaceful relations among religions.
He also said that the president is committed to improving economic development through local and international relationships.
His words, “Nigeria is now blessed with a President that is committed to ending the scourge of terror and insecurity. One who embodies the essential Nigerian story of peaceful faith relations.
“President Bola Tinubu is ready and steadfast in the pursuit of collaborations to advance religious peace and tolerance, better economic ties and building a resilient country.
“While our faiths will continue to differ; our destinies do not. Nigeria is not a land of persecution, it is a land of opportunities. It is a land of shared grief and shared hope — where Christians and Muslims have suffered together.
“They will rebuild together, and will, by God’s grace, continue to rise together,” Dare said.
This reaction by the presidency comes on the heels of allegations of Christian genocide slammed against the Nigerian government by the United States of America.
The US president, Donald Trump had also announced the designation of Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern following these allegations which the Nigerian government has described as false narratives championed against the nation by the international community.
In addition, Trump threatened a US military invasion into the country and stop all financial, technical and humanitarian assistance to Nigeria should the Federal Government fail to eliminate the Islamic terrorists who are perpetrating the killings.
