Nollywood actress Belinda Effah, who changed her name to Grace Chris Bassey, has ditched Nollywood for the Navy.

The movie star announced on her Instagram page that she has officially joined the US Navy. Sharing clips of her at the Navy boot camp, she revealed that she graduated from the camp a week back as a Sailor and took the oath as a citizen of the US.

Belinda admitted that the journey wasn’t easy, but she carried her roots, faith, and vision every step of the way. She noted how Nigeria raised her and how America challenged her.

The actress said she stands stronger and more determined as she expressed gratitude to all who believed in her.

“First, All Glory To God.

Last week, I graduated from U.S. Navy boot camp as a Sailor and took the oath as a citizen of the United States.

This journey wasn’t easy, but I carried my roots, my faith, and my vision every step of the way.

Nigeria raised me. America challenged me. I stand today stronger and more determined than ever.

Thank you to everyone who believed in me. This is just the beginning.
