A combination of factors including questionable form, fitness issues and managerial preferences have left Awoniyi enduring one of the least productive seasons of his professional career. Awoniyi’s struggles at The City Ground have sparked speculations about a potential exit from Nottingham Forest in the summer with clubs around Europe said to be interested. However, the 27-year-old recently poured cold water on the rumours, insisting that continuing in the Premier League remains his absolute priority. “For me, it’s always the Premier League.
