Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation gets new MD

Following the end of the tenure of Mrs Folashade Joseph as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation, Mrs. Florence Onwanuokwu has emerged as the acting MD/CEO.

In a statement on Friday signed by the Deputy General Manager (Corporate Affairs), Magdalene Omosimua, it was revealed that Onwanuokwu was the General Manager (Underwriting) before her current role.

Onwonuokwu has over 34 years experience in the insurance industry.

NAIC specialises in providing insurance for your poultry, cattle, vehicles and subsidised crops in the agriculture sector of Nigeria.

“During Mrs. Joseph’s tenure, the Corporation not only evolved in its core mandate but also gained new grounds in service delivery, operational efficiency and a lot of stakeholder engagements. Her dedication and expertise are invaluable to the organisation’s growth “and success”, part of the statement read.

In a brief handing over ceremony that took place in the Managing Director’s office, the Acting Managing Director, Mrs. Onwanuokwu thanked her predecessor for her leadership and vision.

In her response, Mrs Joseph thanked the Federal Government for giving her the opportunity to serve in that capacity and also expressed gratitude to the organisation for its cooperation, and that she was confident that the acting MD/CEO would bring her wealth of experience to bear towards a greater NAIC.
