Nigerian singer, Akiode Blessing Mariam popularly known as Candy Bleakz has suffered a violent attack and robbery in South Africa, leaving her injured and shaken.

Naijaonpoint reports that the 26-year-old, shared videos on Thursday on her Instagram page showing blood on her mouth and clear signs of distress as she tried to explain what happened.

The incident, according to her, took place outside her apartment while she stepped out to drink coffee.

She said a group of unknown men walked up to her, beat her and escaped with her gold jewellery said to be worth about N10 million.

She later shared another clip on Snapchat where she appeared in pain as she nursed bruises from the assault.

“Officer why did you let them rob me like this? Why? You were there. You let them go”, she said.

Candy Bleakz, known for her lively style and fast rise in the music scene, is now receiving support from fans and colleagues who have expressed worry over her condition.

This incident comes months after Mavin Records’ DJ Big N survived an attack in Johannesburg.

He was shot in the leg by six armed men who stopped him in traffic and took his jewellery.

He later explained that the bullet almost touched a major artery before he received treatment.
