Nigerian singer, Sulaimon Shekoni Solomon, better known as Khaid, has hinted at leaving the Sydney record label.

Naijaonpoint reports that the singer made this known in a post via X on Friday, while expressing his desire for freedom.

Khaid insinuated that he constantly faced with a situation of being subjected to control and would be needing lawyers to handle certain personal matters.

The ‘Carry Me Go’ crooner further encouraged young lawyers to consider a career in the entertainment industry, noting the growing demand for legal representation.

He wrote, “They want control. I want freedom. Let’s see who wins.

“These graduating lawyers better be in the entertainment scene. Y’all got work to do. Need me like five. Matter full ground. Time will tell.”

Meanwhile, Nigerian singer Asake has shared his views on how humility and ego are often perceived in the entertainment world.

In a viral video on Tiktok, he told his friend that in the industry, being humble is usually seen as a weakness, while showing ego tends to make artists appear more attractive to fans.

The singer stressed that people do not pay much attention to the process behind an artiste’s work, instead, they are more concerned with the results that come out of it.

According to him, taking time to explain or show people how things are done is often not valued, as most audiences only respect the finished product.

Asake maintained that artistes are better appreciated when they carry themselves with a sense of pride that makes them seem less accessible, as this builds curiosity and admiration.

He added that the best approach is for artistes to stay focused, deliver results, and let their work speak for them.
