The Premier League has officially released its full fixture list for the 2025/2026 season, and for several Super Eagles players in England, the new campaign will begin with a mix of tricky and promising opening ties, Footynaija.com reports.
The campaign will kick off with a Friday night tie between Liverpool and Bournemouth, before top fixtures like Manchester United versus Arsenal on Sunday. Chelsea will also host Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge, while Manchester City travel to Wolves.
Super Eagles stars Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey will begin the campaign with Fulham away to Brighton on Saturday, 16 August.
Both players were standout names for the London club last season. Iwobi recorded an impressive 9 goals and 6 assists in the league. Bassey, on the other hand, ended the campaign on a high by winning Fulham’s Player of the Season award.
Another tie involving Super Eagles players will take place at the City Ground, where Nottingham Forest host Brentford. All eyes will be on Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi.

Awoniyi managed just one league goal last season due to struggles with injury for a large part of the campaign. Aina on the other hand was one of the club’s most consistent defenders.
With the new season now confirmed to begin on Friday, 15 August, attention is beginning to shift to how Nigerian internationals will shape up for the long campaign ahead.
Other Nigerian internationals may still join Premier League clubs before the transfer window closes, with several top-flight sides actively scouting talent from across Europe and Africa.
Eric Chelle, who took charge of the Super Eagles in March, is expected to continue tracking his regulars in Europe, especially those plying their trade in the Premier League.
