Nintendo rumored to show off the Switch 2 this week

It’s getting closer and closer to when we’ll finally get to see the Nintendo reveal the Switch 2, but it turns out that the reveal may actually be closer than most people think. Several rumors have suggested that Nintendo plans to launch the console in 2025, but that won’t happen until at least the end of the current fiscal year, which ends at the end of March 2025. So it’s likely we won’t see the console available for pre-order or purchase until at least April or later.

Now, the most recent rumors are suggesting Nintendo’s planned date for the reveal is coming up very soon. So far Nintendo hasn’t officially confirmed anything about the Switch 2 when it comes to design. It also hasn’t confirmed the name of the console or what the features or specs will be. Chances are, however, consumers will be learning about all of that soon enough.

Nintendo may reveal the Switch 2 by October 31

If the rumors are true, then Nintendo may be prepared to announce the Switch 2 sometime this week. According to PH Brazil (via XDA and Notebook Check) Nintendo will show off the upcoming console sometime between today’s date and October 31. It’s already October 28, so there could be just a few days before the new Switch console makes an official appearance.

The basis for these rumors stems from Nintendo’s upcoming investor conference. PH Brazil points out that the investor conference happens on November 5. He believes that the company will want to have something big to get the investors excited. Something like the Nintendo Switch 2. This doesn’t seem too out of the question given Nintendo’s apparent plan to launch the console sometime around April.

The announcement date so far is complete speculation

With the rumored announcement dates now out in the open, it’s important to point out that so far this is all complete speculation. When leaks usually happen, there will be some form of data or information that is being discovered that points to specific details. Such as in the case of the leaked design of the console via CAD renders. Or the leaked details about various specs.

With this announcement date, everything is being speculated on based on the belief that Nintendo will want to have something to show investors. Nintendo could indeed want to have something to show investors to drive up excitement. But that does not mean it will reveal the Nintendo Switch 2 this week. Ultimately, Nintendo fans would be better off not getting their hopes up on this one.
