The Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Edo State Branch, has described the Supreme Court judgment ruling which upheld the election of Governor Monday Okpebholo as a sign of greater things to come for all Edo people.

Dr. Eustace Oseghale, Chairman of the NMA Edo State, and Secretary, Dr. Iluobe Inegbenosun, expressed their warmest congratulations to the governor, saying the landmark Supreme Court victory, solidifying his electoral mandate, was expected.

Recall that on Thursday, a five-member panel of the Supreme Court, in the lead judgment delivered by Justice Lawal Garba, upheld the election of Governor Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The leadership of the Edo NMA pledged their unwavering support for the Okpebholo-led administration and called on well-meaning citizens of the state to join hands with the governor as he steers the ship of the state towards greater heights.

“We are confident his visionary leadership will propel Edo State forward, improving lives and fostering progress.

“We pledge unwavering support for Your Excellency’s administration, particularly in healthcare. We share your vision for a world-class healthcare system, accessible to all Edo citizens. We are eager to collaborate, leveraging our expertise to elevate our healthcare infrastructure and services.

“We wish Your Excellency a tenure marked by success, impact, and prosperity for all Edo people. Together, we’ll strive for excellence, ensuring our healthcare system becomes a beacon of hope and quality,” Oseghale said.
