A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has dismissed reports that the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, is battling deteriorating health in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).
Igbokwe, in a post on his verified Facebook page on Thursday, insisted that contrary to the position of Kanu’s legal team, the separatist leader was “110 per cent okay.”
The APC stalwart accused Kanu of causing widespread destruction in the South-East, alleging that he was responsible for killings and the disruption of economic activities in the region.
Igbokwe wrote, “Let me drop this here this morning for all Igbo in Nigeria and diaspora to know. Nnamdi Kanu is 110% ok.
“Let us not deceive ourselves. Let us speak the truth for once and shame the devil. Nnamdi killed our people in thousands and businesses.
“A man who led Igbo young men and women to kill our people in 10 years, burnt our homes, stole our wives, closed our markets and businesses etc is telling you he is sick. He is not sick at all. All these claims about his health is a lie from the pit of hell.”
