Brother to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, Prince Emmanuel Kanu has claimed that heavy security operatives have surrounded the separatist’s home.

Kanu raised the alarm in a post shared on his Facebook page on Thursday morning ahead of the long awaited judgment on Kanu’s terrorism-related cases.

He wrote, “Breaking news! Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s family house is currently surrounded by a large number of security agents.We are alerting the whole world”.

Naijaonpoint reports that Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja, is expected to declare judgement on a series of applications filed by the Federal Government against Kanu today.

Meanwhile, Omotosho has ordered security operatives to take Kanu, out of his court room.

Naijaonpoint reports that the judge gave the order after the IPOB leader failed to comport himself and started raising his voice.

Justice Omotosho had stated that most of the issues raised by the IPOB leader had been raised by Kanu severally in this court. He stated that the court is bound by that order.

However, on the issues as regards to the court of appeal and the stay of proceedings, he said it shall not be entertained. Omotosho noted that there are two types of bail and the case before the court, does not not fall within it. He said hearing of the case has been concluded and will give his judgment.

Disagreeing, Kanu insisted that he is entitled to file his final written address, but the judge asked him to comport himself.

Kanu, however, told the court to show him where it is written his final written address can be waived.

“You don’t know the law, show me where it says you can waive the right to a final address, Omotosho show me the law,” Nnamdi Kanu told the judge.

Kanu refused to release the microphone to the DSS as instructed by the judge.

Following his insisting, the judge asked security operatives to take Nnamdi Kanu out of the court room.

The judge stated that it is a constitutional right for a defendant to be present in his trial. While noting that the unruly behavior of Kanu is not new, the judge said: “We have seen instances where the defendant beats his clients, shutting them up.”

The judge also pointed out that he appealed to Kanu severally, but “in his usual manner, he refused to comport himself.”

The Judge subsequently ordered that the case should proceed without the presence of the IPOB leader.
