New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) chieftain, Abdulmumin Jibrin, said he would choose both President Bola Tinubu and former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, to work together in the 2027 election.
Naijaonpoint reports that Jibrin made this statement on Wednesday while responding to a question on who he would choose in the presidential race, during an interview on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television.
The member of the House of Representatives also expressed optimism that he does not see anything stopping President Tinubu from winning the forthcoming 2027 presidential election.
He said, “I’m a Tinubu person and I believe I cannot see anything that will stop him from winning the election in 2027
“I like him and he likes me too. I think in a working environment, it’s important that you have a boss that likes you and you like him too, that’s the point, irrespective of party affiliation.”
Meanwhile, Jubril has refused to rule out the possibility that Kwankwaso may still join the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 elections.
Jibrin stated that Kwankwaso has always maintained that his doors are always open to political discussions.
Naijaonpoint reports that the Kano lawmaker maintained that while he is not privy to the political plans of the former Governor, the possibility of the former NNPP presidential candidate teaming up with President Bola Tinubu in the APC is very much open based on earlier statements.
