The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, has vowed not to delay the process of filling vacant positions within the Olubadan Chieftaincy line, assuring Ibadan indigenes of a seamless transition and continuity in the traditional structure.

Naijaonpoint reports that Oba Ladoja made the declaration during a courtesy visit by the Asipa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi, to his Lagos residence.

In a statement signed by his media aide, Adeola Oloko, and made available on Monday, Ladoja said his absence from Ibadan at the time of the passing of the 43rd Olubadan, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, did not affect his readiness to assume leadership and ensure continuity.

“There would be no delay in filling every pending vacancy in the Olubadan chieftaincy line,” the former Oyo State governor declared.

Oba Ladoja paid glowing tribute to the late monarch, describing him as a leader who left a legacy of service and honour.

“Kabiyesi Olakulehin lived an impactful life and gave a good account of himself,” he said.

Speaking during the visit, the Asipa Olubadan, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi, offered his condolences over the passing of the late Olubadan and pledged his full loyalty to Oba Ladoja.

He assured the Olubadan-designate of his unwavering support as the traditional leadership of Ibadanland prepares for a new era under Ladoja’s guidance.

The visit is seen as part of growing efforts to consolidate unity and stability within the Ibadan traditional council ahead of Ladoja’s formal ascension.
