No Distinction Between LP, PDP Or APC – Abia Lawmaker

The Abia State House of Assembly Deputy speaker, Rt. Hon. Okezie Augustine Nmeregini, has said that there’s no distinction between the Labour Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) or the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the Abia State House of Assembly with the current administration.

He made the statement while speaking to newsmen on Tuesday night as he congratulated Hon. Roland for joining the Labour Party from the PDP.

“At the beginning of this 8th house, we had differences and I was always on the view that the dust would settle.

“You can attest to that now, the dust has settled and you will rarely find distinction between those of the LP, PDP or APC”, He said.

Recall the PDP in Orono Ward 7 Isialangwa South Local Government had suspended the member representing Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Rowland Ceaser, over his public support for Governor Alex Otti.

Hon. Roland today, during the plenary, officially joined the Labour Party and received a warm welcome by the members.

However, the lawmaker said, “It’s a natural sequence, I’m not surprised that Hon. Roland Chinwendu has joined the Labor Party and we expect others to come too.

“I congratulate him for joining us, while I urge my colleagues in the PDP and APC to follow suit.

“It is natural, people are actually in a hurry to align with the governor, considering the magnitude of work he is doing, so he has actually been drawn to the momentum of the time, he’s welcomed,” he Deputy speaker added.
